Participation in TRINITY project
TRINITY (TRansmission system enhancement of regioNal borders by means of IntelligenT market technologY) is European Commission project under the Horizon 2020 programme. TRINITY project is consists of 19 partners from 11 countries. Duration of the project is 48 months.
The main goal of the project is to develop a set of solutions to improve cooperation and coordination among the transmission system operators of the South East European region in order to support the integration of the electricity markets in the region, whilst promoting higher penetration of clean energies.
SCC will contribute this project using its expertise and knowledge of the South East European transmission systems. Based on extensive experience in Regional Security Coordinator business, SCC will take part in Work Package 6 (Coordination and Communication platform) and in Work Package 7 (Integration and Demonstration activities). Likewise, SCC will be involved in the other parts of the projects related to cross-border net transfer capacities, security analysis and regional adequacy. Finally, SCC will provide Demonstration Activity Manager - person that will coordinate all demonstration activities of the project deliverables.
Participation in CROSSBOW project
CROSSBOW (CROSS BOrder management of variable renewable energies and storage units enabling a transnational Wholesale market) is European Commission project under the Horizon 2020 programme. CROSSBOW project is consist of 24 partners from 13 countries. Duration of the project is 48 months.
The main goal of this project is to recommend the shared use of resources to foster cross-border management of variable renewable energies and storage units, enabling a higher penetration of clean energies whilst reducing network operational costs and improving economic benefits of renewable energy sources and storage units. Based on extensive experience of the South-East European transmission system, Security Coordination Centre SCC Ltd. Belgrade is participating in different scenarios of the project related to: regional adequacy assessment, common grid model quality, cross-border net transfer capacities, etc. Also, SCC is in the project foreseen as one of the main demonstrators for the use cases that improve regional coordination among Transmission System Operators (TSOs).
Calculation of Power Flow Indicators for ENTSO-E
Power Flow Indicators calculation for 2015 and 2016 is assigned to SCC by ENTSO-E.
In order to calculate Power Flow Indicators, cross border power flows were determined using Power Transfer Distribution Factors (PTDF). These calculated values were compared with metered cross border power flows, and their difference is represented as Power Flow Indicators.
