17. June 2025.

On June 17th and 18th, 2025, Belgrade hosted the regular annual meetings of ENTSO-E’s Regional Group Continental Europe (RG CE) and the System Operations Committee (SOC), which had been planned since the previous year. The meetings were successfully organized by the Security Coordination Centre (SCC), with the support of Elektromreža Srbije (EMS).

The meetings followed the pre-defined agenda and were conducted in a spirit of open dialogue, enabling constructive exchanges of views and high-quality technical coordination among participants. Key topics discussed included system security, operational challenges, and future directions for regional cooperation.
Special attention was given to the analysis of current challenges in continental Europe, including the integration of renewable energy sources, cross-border flows, and the enhancement of regional coordination. Participants also explored opportunities to improve existing procedures and cooperation among transmission system operators.

In addition to the technical sessions, the meetings provided an opportunity to strengthen mutual trust and foster even stronger professional relationships among colleagues from different countries. Informal discussions further reinforced connections that contribute to more efficient and rapid joint action in daily operational work.

The events were organized as part of the celebration of the tenth anniversary of SCC’s establishment and operation, further emphasizing the organization’s commitment to regional and European cooperation in the electricity sector. On this occasion, SCC hosted a formal dinner attended by members of RG CE and SOC, as well as representatives of ENTSO-E, shareholders, and other partner organizations.

The dinner was held in a ceremonial atmosphere, with brief addresses by the hosts and expressions of gratitude to partners for their long-standing cooperation and trust. Attendees had the opportunity to share impressions of the working groups’ activities and to commemorate important moments from their shared professional journey.

The event was flawlessly organized thanks to the dedicated efforts of the SCC and EMS teams, who ensured all necessary logistical and technical conditions for the successful realization of the meetings. Guests also had the chance to enjoy the cultural and gastronomic offerings of Serbia’s capital, which added to the overall positive impression.

The atmosphere throughout the meetings and related events was highly professional and collegial, and the numerous positive remarks from participants are a testament to the success of the entire organization.
